bible study recommendation

Postby Mr. Rogers » Tue Jun 01, 2004 11:28 pm

i'm not sure if this is the right place for this, sorry if it isnt, but i was wondering if anyone could recommend any bible studies that just deals with who we are in Christ? what he did for us, who we are to Him, and our positions in Him. i am going to start a new Christian site and I think this would be a great thing to start it off by. cause it's very important to know who we are in Christ. if we don't know it well, it can cause alot of trouble in our walks with God and how we see ourselves and everything like that. so anyway, if you could recommend anything, it would be very helpful. thanks :thumb:

Well, while I haven't done anything specifically on "who we are in Christ", I'm currently doing this awesome study on worldviews and stuff - a great thing to follow up your study (especially if you are looking to assist people in their walks wtih God - this study promotes a firm foundation in Jesus Christ and the Bible). It's called How Now Shall We Live?.

Sweet stuff.

try "purpose driven life". i think that book might be what you're looking for...

"Jesus the One and Only," by Beth Moore. It is a fantastic Bible study. There is also one for a young guy like yourself which might be more appropriate. I think many young men would do well to study the Life of David and it's in the B.S. series titled, "A Heart Like His," also by Beth Moore.

[size=84][color=seagreen]YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.
