Wolf's Rain

Postby CobaltAngel » Sat Jul 03, 2004 4:28 am

Ahhh! I've only read part of the manga but it is AWESOME! Wolves that can turn themselves into bishies?! *fangirl paradise*

LOL - butbutbut... it did have alot of violence in it. I had been reading Full Moon wo Sagashiute right before I read it and so I was like, "Wow, big differance here. O_o;;;"

Thanks for the link. I didn't know there was a manga, but I guess it stands to reason that there would be one. :)

If you are, I'd keep it on the down low if I were you. ;)
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Hmm . . . that's a thought. Nah it wouldn't work, then I wouldn't be myself. :)

Hindsight is 20/20. I guess I was little vague. Wolfs Rain has fighting, and a cute flower girl . . . . plus some really awesome art. That's a guys perspective. ;)

KisaTohru, you were busy today posting weren't you. :)

You can find the link(it's in this thread) to download the 3 chapters that are available at this time. Yes, they are in English.
Currently I do not think that there is any plans for a release of the manga stateside so content yourself with the downloadable manga or be patient.

I do mine in blitzs too. :) We'll not all the time anyway. . .

So, is it spelled Cheza? Hmm . . . I must look into this. If I can find it in kanji I would probably be able to confirm.

Halleluiah(sp?)! Do you like Cheza too? I am still not sure of the proper spelling. . . .

Uh she's alright but not my favorite character. She's kinda strange to me very...unhuman, go figure I mean she is a walking/talking flower. But then I guess that's why this show is different I mean the majority of the main characters aren't human. That's why it's so hard for me to relate to them sometimes but I guess that was intended. Anyway not saying I don't like the show I love it.

Wolves and a flower, ah, yes, they do behave kinda strangely, but as any of my friends know; I am pretty strange myself.

You have heard, of course, that the evil lawn gnomes are taking over the world? The Gophers are fighting a valient battle. They bite after all.
There are more lawn gnomes made in Germany each year than there are babies born in Germany in that same time frame. This "Aleman(germany..)" place is where they have started there attack. The Gophers are placed in the Us currently but are gaining a toehold in england. .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .umm you get the point. . .

Cheza is cute, btw has much to do with looks and little to the actual chara. I say things are cute during fanboy mode.. . . Sometimes though if I offer a solid reason why the one is cute. That's when I am serious. :)

Is 6-7 hours a night tops enough sleep? :)

Actually for it being summer I am having a surprisingly unrelaxing summer. I have spent most of June either gone or busy with some activity. I help out with a local radio station, and am a core member until college starts in August.

This month is no exception to the busyness. I am going to my future college, University of Nebraska Omaha, to help teach japanese students english. Plus by hanging out with them I am learning a lot of japanese. :) Eventually, some of them are going to teach me how to cook something other than miso soup. . .

As to why I have "too much time on my hands": That is because i have made hanging out here as much a priority as watching anime. The avatar is scary isn't it. . . the "Those who hunt lawn gnomes" is supposed to be a rip off of "Those who hunt elves" which is an anime series I know nothing about...

Now that I am dreadfuly off topic  . . . . . .

Can anybody give me a recap as to what happened this last Saturday. I missed Wolfs Rain totally.

I want to start watching Wolf's Rain now that I've read this thread. I have a friend that is really into Wolf's Rain and Trigun, both of which I hear are really good. Can anyone tell me if Trigun or Wolf's Rain will ever start over again from the beginning again as I've heard Inuyasha did?

Wolf's Rain already did. They will probably show Trigun again, as well. You just have to wait, and they will recycle most everything.

Ah. *lol* I see. Isn't that s'posed to be really fanservice-y?

Wolf's Rain...Oh, I got the first DVD yesterday. *lol* I got paid. *yay* Having a job at my age is so nice. I don't really need the money, and can threrefore spend it on things like anime. *lol* I still can't download the third chapter, though. : P

YAY!! Are the japanese voices in Wolfs Rain better than the english ones?
