The Wonderful Worlds of Wally McDoogle!

Postby The_Marauding_Maniac » Thu Feb 26, 2004 10:02 am

Who loves Wally McDoogle? (The titles say My Life as... [Example My life as Dinosaur Dental Floss]) This is a story about a christian boy who goes through life and is named also "The Walking Disaster Area" and "Buy Blunder" because he makes catastrophes by walking down the street! So far there are about 24 books. The first books are rather strange... but it gets stranger in a good way. (One example of a catastrophe is him destroying an entire park.) Its hilarius and has a good message. :)

I love that series! I only read the first three books, but it is great anyway. Kids books aren't only for children. ;)

To serve your turn long after they are gone

Good? They portray the only christian in the series[Wally. his family sure doesn't seem to be christian] as a nerdy, bumbling, no good, clownish loser. What kind of message does that send to our kids? That christians are dorks and losers who somehow will stumble thru life getting beat upon by all the 'cool' people of the world? Not for my kids....
