Mythbusters

Has anyone else seen the show Mythbusters? It's on the Discovery Channel. It's about the show's hosts Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman, who are both special effects experts, using science to test myths out to see if they're actually true or not. I think Jamie and Adam are hilarious. I really enjoy watching the show when I can.

No, I haven't seen it, but I've seen commercials and I like the parody of the Thomas Dolby song "She blinded me with science." Man, I LOVE that song!

I LOVE this show! I see it whenever I am home and have access to a TV. Did you see the one where they tested the myth about a duck's quack echoing? Or the one they made a chicken cannon? Or when they tested the tanning bed myth and the put the tanning goggles on the chickens? That show is so funny. Hmm, lots of birds in that show...

Monster House is pretty cool. I also like What Not to Wear.

I've seen all of the above except the tanning bed one. Have you seen the one about beating the Breath Test or the one about floating a sunken ship with ping pong balls?

I love this show too. Some of my favorites were testing if urine would freeze as it falls, finding a needle in a haystack, and the greenhouse-scream matches (which grew better: plants with no music, plants with classical music, plants that were talked to lovingly, plants that were trash talked, or plants with hard rock/metal music).

I've heard of the show - its got good reviews from those who've seen it. It really makes me wish I had SKY (as far as I'm aware the equivalent of cable over here).

It's a great show and very entertaining. I love the experiments they do.

But I just kind of wanted to warn you all, they aren’t always right. They’re experiments aren’t very scientific and can sometimes lead to the wrong conclusions. I’ve seen them bust a myth that is actually true.

I don't think that takes away from the entrtainment value of the show, though.

This show sounds very interesting! Does anyone know of any plans to bring it to Australasian tv?
