Hmm... Well, if there is legal action taken, this may get news coverage... If that's the case, CAA may have to shut down because of all the fuel for trolls to come in by the hundreds...

We'll have Christians Blasting anime
People accusing us of destroying innocent children (how many of you have gotten that one (raises hand))
Non-Christian anime fans blasting Christianity
Non-Christian anti-anime people blasting our faith and our hobby
Political flamers
Advertisers
"evangelists" for every idea contrary to the bible
Christians telling us how they are praying we get saved again...

Oh, and probably get attention from "Focus on the Family" and also major pastors and evangelists who are going to dig up old wounds in our less than accepting friends and family and make life desperately hard for all of us.

Boy, won't that be fun...

Well, I'm not so sure we'll get that much attention from FotF or any other major Christian group, at least not currently. Anime is still somewhat of a niche hobby that the majority of people know very little about. It has been gaining popularity in the states but I don't think we should start worrying about FotF or whoever confronting us just yet. I could be wrong but..
*shrugs*
Mostly, what I've ever really seen on Christian sites concerning anime has been anti-pokemon articles. I have seen some stuff critiquing Digimon, DBZ, and Yugioh and one article at FotF that called anime "mostly morally corrupt" or something to that effect *coughs* but that's about it.

We will probably have to deal with Christians who are totally against anime sooner or later. Let's just don't hope we don't start having to ban Christian trolls.

Well, you'd better make sure you have a ready answer in biblical verse, and know your heart is in the right place before thinking you're ready for that confrontation.

That's my 3 yen. ;2)

In the DOS and Windows file systems, this refers to the current directory/folder. The shorthand is:

Yup. That's why it's actually referring to Unix file systems, where the forward slash is the path delimiter, not the backslash. :)

paranoia aside, I think MillyFan was referring to slashfic (i.e. non-anime yaoi/yuri).
The scientific method," Thomas Henry Huxley once wrote, "is nothing but the normal working of the human mind." That is to say, when the mind is working; that is to say further, when it is engaged in corrrecting its mistakes. Taking this point of view, we may conclude that science is not physics, biology, or chemistry—is not even a "subject"—but a moral imperative drawn from a larger narrative whose purpose is to give perspective, balance, and humility to learning.

I belive that any memeber that is banned should not just banned an discussed about on this thread. I belive something should be put in the pray request sub-forum about the fact that these people need help. exspecialy people like kyubi-no-youko because they need to see God's love as much as we do if not, then more.

Don't get me wrong I think that you made a good choice, but they really need our prayers as well.

The whole point of this thread is to keep the membership completely aware of the events we the administration make. Sure, I agree these people need to be prayed for. That's almost a given. But like I said, the point is so that you guys know what's happening.

I like that. At some other boards I go to, there's nothing like this thread and it's just a bunch of rumors and speculations.

Be a bit more cautious, purplemoose. We agree with you, as the stance on homosexuality for this board is set, but that also means the issue is closed. Not that you've really done anything wrong.

and say while he was gay he must have killed hundreds of his 'boyfriends' just to let you know.

Not that I want to get this debate started again, but if he's talking outright murder here (rather than, say, having AIDS or something) why doesn't he take responsibility and turn himself in?

I'm just highly skeptical of claims like this. It reminds me of the people that said they were ex-Satanic priests and that they had killed hundreds of people-and it turns out they were *lying* to make their pasts sound even more dangerous and foreboding.
