No Time

I knelt to pray but not for long, I had to much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work
For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My christian duty was now done
my soul could rest at ease.
all day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer.
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, But at last the time to die.
Iwent before the Lord,
I came, I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find.
I once was going to write it down...
But never found the time"
Always find time in your day to rejoice for something the Lord has done for you... even if it is just the miracle of getting up every morning.

Whoa! :) I've actually been blown away by a young writer on the forums. This is very good. My goodness. I've been a Christian for over 25 years and am so touched by your words. However, God is a God of grace and mercy. If you don't have time, He will always have time for you. I've been through more mountains and valleys in my life than I've actually seen, I think. Something to always remember about God - He never changes and He always want the best for you.

YOU SEE

You see into the deepest part of me ---

beyond the fog I hide behind.

You cast your light upon the shadows

that stretch like cobwebs in my mind.

You ease the pain when I am hurting,

and morbid visions from my past

pierce into the realm of Reason

as though I danced on blades of glass.

You grant me strength when I have fallen

and, once again, I've lost my way.

You take my hand in Yours and lead me

into the promise of a brand new day.

You bring order to all my chaos,

yet set my well-laid plans awry.

You place me on a firm foundation ---

then give me wings so I can fly.

You sand away my roughened edges

and polish all the dullest parts

until I stand before Your presence...

a newly-sculpted work of art.

You see into the heart within me,

right through my motives and selfish will.

And yet, in spite of all You see

You say You love me even still.

Yes, this is a wonderful piece. ^_^ I've loved it every time I see it. :thumb: I think my grandma sent this to me in a forward once, and I can't believe how true it is. How many times do we just rush around, maybe stopping once to pray, because we're 'busy'? . . . suddenly, I'm reminded of the "I'm busy" song from veggie tales . . .

Really good poem, Indeed. Everybody should read that.
"Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath." -James 1:19
Translation: Listen much; speak little; stay cool. :thumb:

Romans 6: 7-12
Psalm 144: 1-2
