I'm reading: DNAngel vol. 1 (just got it in the mail), and just recently finished "Brain Powered." <- thought it was boring.

I have a question:
Did someone in this thread mention a 1)manga by Clamp which was 2)called shonen ai on Amazon, but 3) really wasn't, at least in the first volume which poster had read.

I thought I read about that in this thread, but now don't find it. I've been trying to find the title to look it up. I'd pretty much decided to stay away from Clamp for that very reason, but I love their art, so ... if it's clean, I'd like to look at it. Thanks.

Sorry for rambling... just asking. :/

XD Yeah! Another W. Juilet fan! Now is anyone else besides me reading:

Sono Te Wo Dokero (Hands Off!) and Here is Greenwood? I'm so happy it been published and the U.S. in my life time! I just don't like the fact there is a boy boy pairing in it. Thank God they aren't the main characters, but sitll they turn up often enough, gah.

I recommend Azumanga Daioh to anyone. I was deeply saddened to reach the end of the series and leave the characters. You get sort of attached to them, ya know? Or maybe that's just me... Later I picked up Blue Interior but after the 5th or 6th volume (can't remember which one) I couldn't find the rest. Does anyone know what happens after that?

It looks funny. The art is very blocky/simplistic, but I like that because it gives me a chance to see the nuts and bolts of the art.

I confess... I'd buy the others if I could get them at that price.

Anything that can make me laugh that hard in a couple of pages can't be all bad.

(The Big Hair Gang -- four people wearing afros. A couple pages later: the Rubberobo Gang... who look exactly the same but wear different things on their heads.)

But, not everyone thinks funny what I think funny. ^-^

Oooh! Alice, nice choice on Imadoki. That's one of my favorite manga in the world.

I just finished Fruits Basket vol. 9.
Every year in Uganda, innumerable children simply. . . disappear. These children all stolen under the cover of darkness from their homes and impressed into the guerilla armies of the LRA [Lord's Resistance Army]. In the deserts of Uganda, they are forced to witness the mindless slaughter of other children until they themselves can do nothing but kill. Kill. These children, generally ranging from ages 5-12, are brainwashed into murdering in the name of the resistance and into stealing other children from their beds to suffer the same fate.

Because of this genocide of innocence, hundred and hundreds of children live every night sleeping in public places miles from their homes, because they know that if the do not-- they will disappear. They will become just another number in this genocide to which the international community has chosen to turn a blind eye. They will become, in affect, invisible-- Invisible Children.

But there are those who are trying to fight against this slaughter of Uganda's children. They fight to protect these "invisible children." Please, help them help a country full of children who know nothing by fear. Help save the innocence. For more information concerning how you can help and how you can get an incredible video about this horrific reality, visit the Invisible Children home page.

Madara Volume 1

It is interesting to see a Japanese manga originally created in left to right format. Beyond that, I don't have any particular comments, other than that it is difficult to take a manga seriously when it frequently uses the term "gadgets."

Yes and No. It's on the shelves at all the bookstore where I live, but it's not suppose to be out until the 8th. It's worth a phone call to your book store.

I don't get it. It says here they're out up to eleven. ??

EDIT: maybe you can only get them online? They take longer to come to the store or something? Because it has a link that says "order now?"

Well you can order them now-- sort of. You can PREorder them now. But the eleventh volume's not released until August, actually. The website is a little confusing if your not use to it, though.

If you look under the manga cover's image, you'll see at the bottom it says "Street Date." In volume eleven's case, it's 08.09.05 (august 9th, 2005); that's the date of the release.
