Man all of the Metal Gear bosses have always been easy for me. And the bosses in FFX were pretty easy too except for Seymour in the Mountains.

I've been stuck fighting the final boss, Abaddon or something, in Panzer Dragoon Orta for months though.

ACK!!! Go now! Get! Play! Shoot!

I love PDO, though I've only played it on my friend's XBOX and only got to the second boss...

I still say we should a website on bosses. It's something I've wanted to do for quite some time.

Alright sweet I beat the boss in Star Ocean I was hopelessly stuck on.

Instead of using Maria and hitting Berial, I had Fayt rush in and I beat the crap out of him making Belzebar a cakewalk. By using short range attacks instead of long range, i made the battle easy.

I`ve fought four bosses since then and beat all of them easily.

I stomped the final boss in Star Ocean 2...the first time. I went through the entire Cave of Trials, beat the angel chick down there, and then went back to the final boss and beat him down.

Then, I went back to my save right before the final boss (after beating the Cave of Trials and the angel) and went back to that one town and did the PA where Filia dies and releases the limiter on the final boss.

To this day I haven't been able to beat him.

Final Boss in Legend of Legaia

Whoa, really? I never had any trouble with him. Well, let's see.

First, did you get the Point Card? It was in one of the drawers in Rim Elm at the beginning of the game, and it earns points every time you buy something in a shop. These points, in turn, can be used to do damage to enemies. So the basic point of the Point Card is to save up a TON of points on it and only use it in boss battles. In fact, I never use my Point Card until the final boss fight. If you save up your points throughout the whole game, you can do 9999 damage to the boss three or four times in the final fight, which helps tremendously.

Second, make sure someone has the Ra-Seru Horn equipped (for me, it's usually Gala). Horn eats up MP, but it heals your party to full and also resurrects dead characters. Also make sure Noa knows Spoon and it's at a high level, since she usually moves before the boss. Have plenty of MP restoring items.

Third, do you have everyone's Arts, including their Miracle Arts? Yes, they cost 99 AP to use, but they do enough damage that they're worth it. Make sure you at least have Vahn's and Gala's.

Fourth, do you have everyone's Ra-Seru spells? If you don't have the Miracle Arts, you won't. You have to have everyone's full Arts list before you can gain the Ra-Seru spells. Once you have a full Arts list for a character, visit the Genesis Tree where you obtained them (Rim Elm for Vahn, the top of the mountain for Noa, and the Voz Forest for Gala). Talk to the tree and you will gain the Ra-Seru summon for that particular character. These do great amounts of damage and are a big help in the final fight.

That's about all the tips I can give you. ^^

Ghaleon- Lunar

I feel your pain. Ghaleon is a HUGE pain in the butt. You just have to keep beating on him...and knowning when to use White Dragon Protect. It's been ages since I've played the game, but as you know, bosses do different poses when they're going to use different attacks. Once you learn which poses do the most damaging attacks, always use White Dragon Protect for that. And make sure you have 20 Star Lights and all the Silver Lights you can muster. And that's about all you can do.

Ok, if anyone has problums with bosses in So3 I`ll be willing to help you, and remember people to help me in So2 when i get stuck.

I am currently trying to recruit Ashton in so2 and I have a feeling a powerful boss is coming up.

Yeah I beat the Final boss for LOL but I gotta say that game had some mean bosses.
The regular enemies were really easy but the bosses had tons of health and you really had to think through before you attacked.

I rented SO2 and never had enough time to level people up. I was sorta trying to gun it. Ironically I heard somewhere that the second to the last boss was harder but I beat him easily.

Ghaleon was a challenging boss because he had muliple powerful attacks.
but Lunar was a game where ATK boosts were absolutely crucial and Vigor + Sworddance was able to finish him off.

But Freya in Star Ocean 3 is like pure evil.
Lenneth Valkyrie was bad enough with her Nibelung Valesti but Freya Ether Strike basically wipes out the entire battle field. If it doesn't kill your dudes it cripples them so severly you can never heal in time much less do damage before the next ether strike which wipes you out.

speaking of Freya Valkyrie profile had some mean extra bosses.
The Emerald and Ruby weapon in FF7 as well as the Omega Weapon in 8 deserve honorable mention.

Emerald Weapon...I beat him but I never got to Ruby. I usually don`t take my time to go around and fight bonus bosses.

Omega and Ultima Weapon in FFX were a breeze.

Yeah, I have one, also. I'm stuck on the dark elf on final fantasy 4. He is so insanely powerful, and only one of my characters can attack. I read on an faq that said to let him kill your party, than that bard guy( can't remember his name) comes and plays his harp, yadda yadda yadda, then you fight him again and he's easy. But whenever I die the first time, it just says game over. What am I doing wrong?

What do you mean only one of your characters can attack? Can you explain?

Actually, you DO have to let him waste you, but only after a bit of storyline. You have to hold out until the storyline part.

I never got past the last boss in Dark Cloud, but I only tried once and just said "Screw it, this game has taken up too much of my time already". Dang dungeon crawler.
I'm stuck on Emerald Weapon in FFVII. I beat Ruby Weapon, though, because of Cait Sith's Slots limit break. 3 Cait Siths = Instant Victory. Bwahaha...
I was stuck on that stupid boss in Final Fantasy Tactics for a while- the one where you fought the guy one-on-one, and then he turned into a demon. Ugh...I hated him. I was finally able to hit his stupid demon form with Lich, though, which did 600-something damage to him.
I'm stuck on 3 of the optional bosses in Wild ARMS 2. The mammoth, the impossibly-hard boss near the prison, and one other one that I can't remember.
The last boss in Lunar 2 is hard and I can't get past him...of course, I have no MP healing items, so...yeah.

Game: Star Ocean: The Second Story

Boss Name: I forget, there`s two of them and you fight them at the Hoffman Ruins when you find the mineral.

They are so freakin hard. I could say I focused all my attacks on one of them and I fought it for about 20 minutes and not one of them died. I just have Claude doing 700 damage over and over again and they keep using ThunderStorm cutting all of my characters HP in half.

I really need help on the flux (err. name withdrawn in case people havent played ffx yet!) in ronso mountain from FFX! I know this was mentioned earlier but no tips!

heres what i've learned.... I got all my limit br... errr overdrives up on all my characters, now i'm working on the aeons. Also I've noticed the little thing next to him is immuned to bio, but he himself isnt =) That seems to be somewhat effective. But heres how the results ALWAYS work! I put haste on everyone, get bio in on him, start trying to get to attacking/healing, then he uses cross cleave. this kills everyone except auron. now with aurons haste, someone the boss still has time to use the lance of atostrophy (or whatever) and use full life on him while getting burned by the bio like 5 times. ARRRGH stupid slow guy! >_<

Ok, Sonic13, make sure all your Aeons have thier overdrive. Use Kimahri`s Overdrive
Mighty Guard and then follow it by casting Hastega or casting Haste on everyone.

Yuna will be able to cast alot of Aeons at once, so make sue you have all her aeons repeadity use their overdrives. Alos have Yuna on her overdrive so Bahumet can use his ultra powerful overdrive unless Seymour uses Banish.

Now after all aeons you`ll have done around 50,000 damge. Just use good attacts and survive Cross Cleave. At the end he`ll cast Reflect on himself. On his next turn he`ll cast flare on himself so it bounces off at hits you. I tricked him and cast Dispel before he used Flare so he just casted Flare on himslef doing around 5000 damage and he got overkilled.

I dont have mighty guard =( how do i get it? and ya hastegas like the first thing i do :P

ya the banish thing is tricky, which is why i am trying to get the aeon overdrived, thats my next step. its so time consuming! :P and that banish move is SUPER annoying!

ah dispel, good idea =) Hey you seem to really know what you're doing! You're my official FFX consultant ;P

Mighty Guard, you get that by continously casting Lancet on either Biran or Yenke Ronso...aparently you`ve already done that and didn`t get the chance.

Ok, i ressurected this thread because there are two major RPG bosses that i am stuck on.

Game: Legend of Dragon
Boss: Lenus
Hp: 3600

She is tough. Whenever, I even come close to defeating her she tends to use 5 turns in a row and annihlate my characters. Any good places I can train since the best scene in the game follows tis boss and i`ve been stuck on her for about 5 months.

Game: Xenosaga
Boss: Gargoyle, henchman (2)
Hp: Gargoyle (Commander Cherenvok) - 3600 (Heh, I just realized that the two bosses I`m stuck on have the same health amount).
Hechman- 1000 each.

Grrrr..... the hechamn do 100 damage to all in each of their many turns, Gargoyle does less but when i eleminate the two hechman, the Gargoyle becomes a challenge. Shoudl i go full sail for the Gargoyle or eliminate the hechman?

PLEASE RESPOND!!! IM DESPERATE!!!!!!!!!

About Gargoyle: I think it might be less of a hassle to attack Gargoyle directly and ignore his underlings as best as you can. Don't take my word for it completely as its been a long time since I fought him however. I do recall that Gargoyle was a challenge.

6 Pages and nobody mentions The End, from Metal Gear Snake Eater? That fight was nuts. The first time I did it, I spent like an hour chasing that geezer around the woods. All to have him come up behind me when I was so sure I had him. Had to go back and get him again. *sigh* And those of you who do the early kill cheat.....You are weak. ;)I gotta say the fight with The End is one of my fav fights in any game. That and the final fight of MG3.

Just go around him and jump on his back, then climb your way up on top of his head.

Then just give him all you've got from there.. I think you need to hit his glowing eye or something..

thunder or gravity works on him too.

I have tried the whole hitting his eye from his head thing, but I either keep falling off, or he is able to hit me with the projectiles he sends out.

I've never had any problems with this boss..

maybe you just need to level up more.

Did you try using gravity on his head? that worked for me
