Looking back, guilt for what I said,
Looking forward unknown feels my heart with dread.
Looking at all the people around
temperary help, but they'll all let me down.
Looking up for some one to help me evermore,
To the God who knows whats instore.

(this is song lyrics I wrote to the music of "The way it is")

When I am filled with pain
When Im lost & depressed
God sees what I am going through
People let me down,
No one else to turn to,
God will ever see me through.
Don't surrender through Him you'll win, in this walk called life,
When you need Him the most He'll be by you side.
Don't give up on your faith
Grace comes to those who seek Him.
& thats the way it is.

Stand Out
Stand out, hate falls
Mocked by their angry calls
They are just afraid, so turn away
& Know you leave courageous today.
Their words cut like a knife
Causing inward strife.
Sometimes you long to just fit in
But want to be yourself again
Everyday you stand out is a victory
As important as any in history
Their shallow ways will fall,
But you are an example to all.

He is real
As I stepped out into the cold snow
I started talking to a friend I've grown to know.
To on looking eyes around me
No one was there that they could see.
But He is real & He listens to me.
From sin he sent me free!

Down With the Nightmare!

Sometimes it feels like nothing can go right.
Feel like giving up this worthless fight.
Eye full of tears
Thoughts full of fears
Life full of sorrow
No hope for tomorrow
To end the nightmares
Let go of your cares.
You can do it through pray
Down with the nightmare!

Nothing to Say
I don't have anything to say.
It's been a pretty normal day.
Things have gone in an easy way.
It is not the month of May.
My name isn't Fay.
I don't live by a bay
Where I don't lay
& Write all day.

Is there a Point?
Point, is there one,
More then laughing & having fun?
Purpose, a goal for you
Something important for you to do?
Stay, must I stay?
With no way to get away?
Free, is what I wish to be,
Away from the life that is known to me.
Help, God I need you.
I know if I ask, you will see me through
Love, is what you send me,
Your shed blood will sent me free.

A New Hope
I have found a new hope,
Something to believe in.
I have found a new friend
Someone I can trust.
I have found renewed life,
From my Father in Heaven above.
I have found renewed love,
Now for once I want to live!

My Child Come Home
I had fallen into a deep despair
Even then You were there
You looked at me & said "My child come home"
From You I turned away
Away from You I wished to stay
But You looked at me & said "My child come home"
On my head & in my heart fell rain
My actions to me only brought pain
And You wept "My child come home"
Now I had fallen as far I could
& Though I doubted you still would
You turned to me & said "My child come home"
Through Your kindness Your love shows
To come back to You is what I choose
And I said "My Father I am home"

I need you

Sometimes Life gets over whelming
I need Your peace.
So tired I can no longer stand on my own
I need Your strength.
Nothing left of my plans to go on
I need Your guidance.
So lost I don't know right form wrong
I need Your Truth.
Every one betrays me
I need Your faithfulness
To afraid to go on
I need you assurance.
In so much pain
I need Your healing
I've been so wrong
I need Your forgiveness
Ashamed of my sins
I need Your love
No hope for life
I need Your Blood.

Mirror
Look in the mirror what do I see?
Look out the window, is this where I want to be?
Asleep at night, awake at by day,
Going about a normal way.
There has got to be more,
More then this in store.
Is there hope for this life?
Is there anything but strife?
I Look in the mirror, but its not there!
Then where?…Then where?

So much sadness
So much joy
Is this the faithfighter we know and adore?
Much less random then before
Talent driven
God inspired
This is it
You're hired!

[align=center]This poem is so neat,
i think you are very sweet.
I wanted to say thank you,
for these kind words you put much thought into.
Your words were so terribly nice,

Only the strength of God.
if love was enough, i would have healed you long ago,
But its not enough for my tears to flow.
If I could carry the burden for you I would bear everyday,
But I am not you savior, to be healed you must pray.
I wish I could carry you out of this terrible plight,
But only He can save you, lean on His awesome might.
always lean on God as you go about you day.
He will carry you the rest of the way.

Just a moment
pain ever leave my heart, if I was with you
even for just a moment.
I'd ever wear a smile if I stared into you eyes
even for just a moment
ever I'd be joyous if I held you in my arms
even for just a moment.
never would I be in want, if I heard you laugh
even for just a moment.
My heart ever longs to hear you voice
even for just a moment.
For if I could be with you
even for just a moment
that moment would live forever.

When I think of you
Before I fall asleep my last thought is of you,
and in morning when I wake, I think of you then too.
For thoughts of you set my heart free.
and my heart longs to know, do you sometimes think of me?
I often think of your laugh and of your beautiful smile,
And think up ways to be with you even for just a while.
Just say the word & I would grant your every desire,
'Cause the thought of making you happy sets me heart on fire.
& wish I leave forever, I'd grant to one too.
if only to know your happy when I think of you.

Short but sweet

If I looked through Your eyes, I'd see more then ever before,
But I can rest assured knowing You know whats in store.

Read & Pray
Read & pray on your way,
Or through the day
When you get a chance,
Spiritual life enhance.

sader then most,

Postby faithfighter » Fri Jul 22, 2005 2:54 pm

i don't know where the inspiration for this one came from...it just kind of came. it is a sad one...sadder then most I have wrote anyway here it is.

As I fall behind

Its nice to see a smile on your face,
I wish i could've put it there,
its nice to know your happy,
and see you found your place.

As i fall behind, as I fall behind.
Its nice to know you doing fine,

Its good to hear you laughing.
I hear you voice on the wind
but to know I won't be near you again
makes me feel cold as ice

As i fall behind, as I fall behind.
Its nice to know you doing fine,

I guess you never know
what you have, until you don't.
I guess I know that now.
But you always knew, always knew,

As I fell behind as I fell behind,
its nice to know now that you're doing fine.

White Lie
All that I knew,
What I thought was you
Was another white lie
All that you did
I want to be rid
Of that white lie.

You promised to get me through all my tomorrows,
But you were my sorrow, you were my sorrow,
You promised you were there to protect me,
From you lies I’ll be free, I want to be free.

All that I knew,
What I thought was you
Was another white lie
All that you did
I want to be rid
Of that white lie.

Sometimes I wish I didn’t care, about you.
But I do…I do.

Nice poems... On the one you don't know the inspiration it comes from the heart
Many time i get word And i know the Lord is the inspiration.
Tis No Fool to lose what he can not keep to gain what he can never lose.
What does it profit a man to gain the World yet lose his soul.
Choose Life that you Might live.

Take it all away
I can't bear the pain,
and the tears flow like rain.
take it all away
I cry out in desperate need
can't stop the wounds that in me bleed.
please take it all away
all the pain overwhelms inside
in the darkness I hid
take it all away
there must be a way out
drop to my knees and shout
please take this pain away
though the pain is so much
heavenly hands reach down and touch
but it wouldn't all go away
the wounds begin to mend
in Christ I've found a friend
One day He'll take it all away.
