my army is completely unpainted, because i suck totally at painting, and it takes me so long to do 1 badly painted model. Maybe sometime i have some free time i'll go and paint a bit but its a very rare occasion

Those are nice Kaji. I did the split-face Farseer too funnily enough! But it was done horribly and years ago too, so I stripped it and repainted him in my new colours, Midnight Blue and Bleached Bone! FEAR ALTANSAR!!!

And because I'm feeling generous, have a few more.
The black big big tank, is my future battlewagon! Made from an old lego-style tank kit. It can be pulled apart and clipped together in different ways, I took the best I could come up with and am gonna make it my wagon!
The pic of it next to a Rhino is for size comparisson. It's just over twice the length of a rhino.
On the back of my Rhino you'll notice a heavy bolter. I put it there just cause it looks cool! A Bolt-on Heavy Bolter. no effect on game rules, just there for fun.

New genestealers have been released. Laura no loner wants her box of old stealers.... guess who gets to 'play' with them?
I'm gonna get me some modelling putty of some sort (preferably not green stuff cause its a rip off) and try and make even one stealer as close to a Xenomorph as I can! Maybe make a Broodlord out of another.... ooo this is gonna be fun!

It's a work in progress of a Genestealer being converted into a Broodlord. Since I hate the current Broodlord model, and the Stealers were based upon Gieger's Alien. I figured a Praetorian (teenage alien Queen) would suit.
May be a surprise to you that this hasn't been painted yet! those 'colours' is a mix of Green stuff and bits of stealers and gaunt armour plates sprayed black (I spray undercoat stuff while on the sprue)

No its not an army list... I've been meaning for aaaages to write some 40K fluff. Reading some fan-fics today made me finalise it. The Gobsmakkas need fluff!
So here is the first draft of some Gobsmakka fluff. Bear in mind the key words - First-Draft.
It still needs work. I'm gonna do a few short ones, then possibly do a longer one.
I'm terrible at finishing what I start... so short stories seem to be the best right now.

I need to do some painting... mebbe tomorrow. I finished 2 Tau gun drones and a Stealth suit up a long time ago. I need to get the other stealth suit fixed up and actually PAINT the darn mech some color other than black, though final colors are turning out to be flat black armor, with green highlighting and white accenting. I plan to get a tank or hammerhead next time I'm near a store. MWE HEHEH PH34R TEH SQUADREN... anyhoo .... spikes may be back in.

I got spikes on one of the stealth suits and I'm going to finish painting tomorrow... I'm adding spikes to the other units too... somehow.

Yeah...I'm painting them scorpion green and black...and doing spikes. I'll finish painting today and tomorrow on the Stealth suit...the other one may have to wait (I need to sculpt and glue spikes). Other army oddities: Hammerhead with spikes... human aux...maximum one kroot squad... lots of heavy weapons...Oshavah. Should be fun.

What? No Wraith Lords!? Those have to be my absolute favorite Eldar units. A completely mobile Starcannon, with 3 wounds and a CRAZY toughness (Hurray for non-armor units!). ^_^
Not to mention they are great at drawing fire.
I have never played with a Court of the Young King. But from your choices, it sounds like your oponent plays with a bit of armor and a serious HQ squad. Do you know what the army you will be up against consists of? Well, let us know how your battle goes!

Battle went like this.
Turn 1
he went first andforgot to move, went straight to shooting. Obliterated my Wave Serpent and killed half the banshees. Realised he forgot to moved and asked me if he could. I said "only if I get the wave serpent back". He agreed.
So he did his movement. Went to shooting. Hit the serpent. Penetrated... destroyed the Shuriken catapults
Landspeeder Tornado Assault cannoned my Guardians, got 3 6's. Assault cannons are rending now. a 6 to hit means instant wound no save... My Warlock provides a 5+ cover save. I MADE ALL MY SAVES
My turn.
Wave serpent + falcon flew forward and deployed their cargo.
Court of Young King advanced
Fire Dragons melted half the terminators.
Reapers wiped out 9 scouts. 1 scout left with missile launcher
Starcannon missed utterly.
Falcon starcannon killed a couple of assault marines.
Banshees fleet of footed toward tactical squad (5 man)
assault: Banshees obliterated squad and consolidated into a 10 man squad.
Fire dragons wounded the attack bike and lost one dragon. We all stuck still.
Turn 2
Terminators advanced, Assault squad advanced, Landspeeder advanced.
Shooting for him was terrible. I lost a couple of guardians and my serpent was stunned, no more.
Assault. Terminators charged the fire dragons, who were promptly slaughtered and then ran away. Were overtaken by the bikes (obviously) and ran right up to Mr Smiley, the Avatar
My Turn:
Court advanced, no other movement. (Court split up now)
Shooting. Reapers blasted tactical squad. Didnt go so good and missed a lot, even with re-rolls.
Guardians killed another 2 assault marines.
Assault:
Avatar attacked bikes. Court went for Terminators.
Banshees killed a few marines, and lost a few in return.
Avatar missed with 3 attacked, but killed a bike.
Court wiped out all but 1 terminator. Cursed 5+ save...
Turn 3:
His scout ran off behind a tactical squad.
Landspeeder flew to Reapers
Shooting:
Landspeeder opened up on Reapers. Repaers were in a building, 4+ cover save They made all but one.
Tank missed wave serpent AGAIN.
Assault:
Terminators got minced.
Banshees killed a few, lost a load then ran away.
Assault marine charged guardians, killed nothing and lost nothing.
my turn:
court advanced, avatar never got to see battle again
Banshees kept running.
shooting:
reaper cleaned out the landspeeder.
Court shot and killed a couple of marines! (yat for shuriken pistols!)
Starcannon on waveserpent dropped librarian to 1 wound.
assault:
Guardians killed the assault marine.
court shredded the tactical squad that ate the banshees and consolidated into librarian.
turn 4:
advanced tactical squad into banshees (just 3 left)
no other movement
shooting:
Tank destroyed Wave serpent.
tactical squad killed one banshee
assault:
tactical squad killed one banshee, and lost a couple in return.
court creamed the librarian and advanced up toward lone scout.. who has done nothing the whole game.
my turn:
court advanced up flank.
guardians advanced.
shooting:
Reapers tried to take the tank (missile launcher) but cudnt even glance its front armour.
falcon with bright lance, flew to side of tank for a point blank shot... and missed.
assault: banshee exarch killed one marine and was killed
turn 5:
no movement.
shooting: Marines gunned guardians, killed a couple.
tank gunned reapers (cursed heavy bolters). Left one standing. I failed ALL the 4+ Invulnerables!!! WITH REROLLS!!!!!
The lone scout.... got a pinpoint shot on the back armour of my falcon and sent in up to Eldar heaven in a million pieces.
my turn:
Reaper glanced the tank and destroyed the lascannon.
guardians finished the tactical squad.
court finished off the scout in shooting. Charged the side of the tank...
Banshees glanced and immobilised it.
The Scorpion... the one I was cursing taking cause my court cudnt fleet of foot. Used his Scorpions claw (Str 8), got the side armour (11) and blew off its final gun...
He quit there.
In the end what I had left was:
1 avatar
3 Banshee Exarchs, 1 Scorpion Exarch
Farseer.
10 Guardians + Warlock
1 Dark Reaper Exarch
that was clearly the closest fight I have EVER had...

Landspeeder Tornado Assault cannoned my Guardians, got 3 6's. Assault cannons are rending now. a 6 to hit means instant wound no save... My Warlock provides a 5+ cover save. I MADE ALL MY SAVES
My turn.
Wave serpent + falcon flew forward and deployed their cargo.
Court of Young King advanced
Fire Dragons melted half the terminators.
Reapers wiped out 9 scouts. 1 scout left with missile launcher
Starcannon missed utterly.
Falcon starcannon killed a couple of assault marines.
Banshees fleet of footed toward tactical squad (5 man)
assault: Banshees obliterated squad and consolidated into a 10 man squad.
Fire dragons wounded the attack bike and lost one dragon. We all stuck still.
Turn 2
Terminators advanced, Assault squad advanced, Landspeeder advanced.
Shooting for him was terrible. I lost a couple of guardians and my serpent was stunned, no more.
Assault. Terminators charged the fire dragons, who were promptly slaughtered and then ran away. Were overtaken by the bikes (obviously) and ran right up to Mr Smiley, the Avatar
My Turn:
Court advanced, no other movement. (Court split up now)
Shooting. Reapers blasted tactical squad. Didnt go so good and missed a lot, even with re-rolls.
Guardians killed another 2 assault marines.
Assault:
Avatar attacked bikes. Court went for Terminators.
Banshees killed a few marines, and lost a few in return.
Avatar missed with 3 attacked, but killed a bike.
Court wiped out all but 1 terminator. Cursed 5+ save...
Turn 3:
His scout ran off behind a tactical squad.
Landspeeder flew to Reapers
Shooting:
Landspeeder opened up on Reapers. Repaers were in a building, 4+ cover save
They made all but one.
Tank missed wave serpent AGAIN.
Assault:
Terminators got minced.
Banshees killed a few, lost a load then ran away.
Assault marine charged guardians, killed nothing and lost nothing.
my turn:
court advanced, avatar never got to see battle again
Banshees kept running.
shooting:
reaper cleaned out the landspeeder.
Court shot and killed a couple of marines! (yat for shuriken pistols!)
Starcannon on waveserpent dropped librarian to 1 wound.
assault:
Guardians killed the assault marine.
court shredded the tactical squad that ate the banshees and consolidated into librarian.
turn 4:
advanced tactical squad into banshees (just 3 left)
no other movement
shooting:
Tank destroyed Wave serpent.
tactical squad killed one banshee
assault:
tactical squad killed one banshee, and lost a couple in return.
court creamed the librarian and advanced up toward lone scout.. who has done nothing the whole game.
my turn:
court advanced up flank.
guardians advanced.
shooting:
Reapers tried to take the tank (missile launcher) but cudnt even glance its front armour.
falcon with bright lance, flew to side of tank for a point blank shot... and missed.
assault: banshee exarch killed one marine and was killed
turn 5:
no movement.
shooting: Marines gunned guardians, killed a couple.
tank gunned reapers (cursed heavy bolters). Left one standing. I failed ALL the 4+ Invulnerables!!! WITH REROLLS!!!!!
The lone scout.... got a pinpoint shot on the back armour of my falcon and sent in up to Eldar heaven in a million pieces.
my turn:
Reaper glanced the tank and destroyed the lascannon.
guardians finished the tactical squad.
court finished off the scout in shooting. Charged the side of the tank...
Banshees glanced and immobilised it.
The Scorpion... the one I was cursing taking cause my court cudnt fleet of foot. Used his Scorpions claw (Str 8), got the side armour (11) and blew off its final gun...
He quit there.
In the end what I had left was:
1 avatar
3 Banshee Exarchs, 1 Scorpion Exarch
Farseer.
10 Guardians + Warlock
1 Dark Reaper Exarch
that was clearly the closest fight I have EVER had...

interesting battle, i've never heard of the court of the young king, what is it exactly? i think the space marine player would havce been better off forfeiting movement for the kill of the wave serpent and half the banshees.. at least thats what i would have done, though in our games we don't allow people to do anything they forgot, unless they are relatively new players, we have a sorta house rule that once something has happened, even if it was a mistake, then thats it. Sounds like a fun game you guys had though, and wow i didn't think the avatar only cost 80 pts, wow.

Same here. No do-overs when we play. But I guess it was the very first turn. Really though, I cant immagine he wouldnt have wanted to kill your transport and its cargo... O_o
Yep! The giant avatar is only 80 pts... but the punk only has a 5+ involnerable save... thats it. Not all that cool (but very 80pts-ish). XP
Sounds like a fast fight. But I didnt think the Avatar (and his court) could ride a trasport... :confused: Ill have to check...
Oh! And no Wraith Lords Skynes? How can this be? They are one of the most wonderfully overpowered units in the entire game. Adaptable to all fighting conditions from Orks to Marines; Wraith Lords can toast them all.

Depend on it. God's work done in God's way will never lack God's supply. He is too wise a God to frustrate His purposes for lack of funds, and He can just as easily supply them ahead of time as afterwards, and He much prefers doing so.
