Green green green green! Aside from all the green, I also like the liquidity of the eyes and the texture on the clothing. The tinted ...photo, I'm guessing?... in the background is nice, too, and I really, really like your clouds. They look like those fast-frames you see on TV where storm clouds form, twist and bloom at high speed.

XD Thanks matie! Your entry is spiffy too ;) I esp like her hair and ribbon. Nicely done

Btw, no the clothing isn't a tinted photo. I just played around with the 'texture' button in photoshop ;)

Anyway... when will we know the results?

Hey thanks, CA! I am really glad to see that you got an entry in!

That makes 14 entrys this month! I think that must be a record! I remember the first one, I think it might have been as far back as march! This is awsome.

I agree, its awesome that there have been so many entries. I like seeing all the skills evident in the CAA. :) I'll look forward to seeing what you post, Meboeck, even if you don't manage to finish it.

x_x I hope I'm not too late. I took up the challenge of taking up to over 4 contests this week, and just now had the time (and just remembered) to color Vernhal's piece! Anyway, here it is.

Image

I also have a PNG copy of my entry. Better quality, but of course bigger in file size (exceeds 500k? ^^; ).

Whoa, nice entry, KrescentMoon! I love the glossy hair and eyes and the rich colours you've used. The background works nicely behind the subject, too. :thumb:

Great entry, KrescentMoon! (Mind if I call you KM for short?) I really like the method of shading and the colours you've used on her hair. Very cool eyes too. I also love the usage of the leaves on the ribbon and kimono, and the way you've used the red and orange colour for them.

So... basically... what CA said. :) It looks great.

Hehe, thanks, guys. You make me feel all warm and fuzzy. Originally I was going to use a plain watercolore-sprayed background, but I became lazy and thought I'd use an image of a Buddhist temple. Ah, Google is love.
