Man, I hope your computer gets fixed soon; it's so annoying to have a crashed computer. Our computer usually has a yearly expirey date... at the end of which it either gets a virus/crashes/gets too old, and is either modified, reformated, or sold.
It's cool to see some of your pics too. ^_^ Yes, another artist/writer! *Grin.* It must be cool to be able to illustrate your novels. ^_^ Or the characters from them. I know I saw the pic you did of the city, but I didn't realise you could draw people so well.

Arys slammed the book shut and let her head fall onto the table. That’s just sick! She had put down the Legna book she was reading and started Nomeds: The Conquering, since she found herself curious about them after what had happened. That proved to be a big mistake for her mental health. Her mind could only handle so much of these kinds of books. The thought that the Nomeds that were after her were under the command of such a demon sent a cold tremble down her spine. She looked up from the table as she heard her name being called.

Excellent; I've read all of the first post and, as usual, really enjoyed it. And as usual, I'll probably read a bit at a time rather than everything at once. You sure have posted a lot; well done! Things keep progressing along well; I especially liked the way you described the tension when they were hiding. It was cool how Kain, usually so hostile, showed another moment of empathy by gripping Arys's hand. ^_^

Hmm... 'softy that he once was'? Sounds like a clue to me. ^_^

Very cool! Yeah, I can understand that it's hard to write those sort of parts; especially when you realise the allegory and everything... if what I'm saying makes sense. o_O

As I said -very cool writing! you're still bringing the characters and plot through well, and I enjoyed this part too. ^_^ I's just like to point out one thing, though:

On the paper was a surprisingly clear picture of himself, followed by details about which section he may live on, the reward for turning in any information, and his danger level. So Alexander decided to put a bounty on his head. As he read further there was a long list of made up charges against him, except, of course, the ‘kidnapping of Miss Arys’. They would defiantly have to leave by tomorrow afternoon.

It's just that in the sentence 'a long list of made up charges against him, except, of course, the 'kidnapping of Miss Arys', when I first read it I though it meant that they had all his charges down except the one of kidnapping Arys. I think it's just the word order that confused me; I did understand it after I read a little further. It's not a huge thing, but I just thought I'd mention it.

Arys adjusted the gun in her belt uneasily, she still felt awkward having it. Swallowing hard she pulled out the bladed staff Kain gave her and held it out in front of her. He grinned his approval and asked her to try to hit him.

“You want me to what?â€

Ban shot up from bed as he felt the floor below him rumble violently. A loud crash then filled his ears as he leapt out of bed. He glanced over at the digital clock on his dresser, which read 11:36. Ut?!! They’re still goin at it?! Grabbing a robe and slipping it over himself, Ban ran out of the room. They would wake up all of Toquor if this continued and besides, Kain shouldn’t be pushing her this hard. He ran to the back and flung open the door only to be hit by a large burst of night breeze. As his teeth chattered Ban wobbled over to the right wall. As soon as Ban pulled open the basement door he had to shield his eyes from a sudden burst of light.

Arys’s eyes widened and she threw herself to the side. A screech left her throat as a bright blade of light slashed her leg. The process of learning to fight with out knowing magic was long over. It was now matter of dodging and staying alive until the teacher said class was over. Clumsily, she rolled head over heals onto the ground to dodge another attack. She didn’t even try to get up, she was deadbeat. Arys had tried to get him to stop many times already but the only answer given was ‘You said we’ll take a couple more hours’. His immaturity was sometimes mind boggling. I’m starting to doubt he was once the Captain of the Guard of an entire nation. Her body ached all over with burns, cuts, and bruises. It was a miracle she managed to stay conscious this long.

Temorth yawned as he walked along the sidewalk on the third level square for the second time. Nothing new was on the lips of the gossipers last night about the infamous search for Kain and Arys. Hopefully he would find something this morning that would be good news. From the corner of his eye he saw a nicely sized group of Nomed Officers chatting about something. Cautiously making his way over towards them he listened in.

“He’s calling the search off?!â€
