Superficialty

Charismatic
party girl
always there to give more
doesn't matter what she has to give
as long as she fits into the neighborhood

beer and drugs
why not she asks
i'm doing great
the life of the party
this is what she tells her friends
who give her crack and heroine

Inside she doesn't want to be this way
yet she doesn't see the choice
doesn't see the option
blind of the chains that bind her

inside her tears crack her heart
the poison races through her

Satan pulls his fangs
and gives her more chains to bind her

and she doesn't see
she doesn't seem to care
when inside it's tearing her apart

didn't see the Hill of Calvary
locked inside her superficiality
unwillingly see the man who can free her
doesn't want see the chains leave her
rested in her superficiality

God's Samurai

I am a knight
follower of the Way
With my sword in steady hands
the truth sinked within its blade

i am a samurai
not follower of Buddha
Bushido nor their path
I walk the Path of righteousness
The Lord my guidance
the lamp unto my feet

I place my feeble vows before him
that i will follow him all of my days
with each breath i'll fight the Battle
for I am his Samurai

next poem is dedicated to Vash BACK TO YA BRO!!

We have touched in this moments time
God's hand leading the way
a sister and brother in Christ
followers of the Way

whether your 18 or 85
your heart and soul are true
they follow the Righteous one
lifting up poems of praise

You don't hide
under sociality
bending to the world

you dare to lift the curtain of superficialty
and present yourself true
even if you have no sleep
and the world seems to drag by

your heart beats
thriving in the strife
praise God for you friend
for your a godsend

oh and a little note
here at the end
I GOT 5 HOURS OF SLEEP AND HAVE TO WORK BESIDES!

This poem is about me last night....i was very very stressed and this went into my head..well some of it

Demons, everlasting rage

It washes over me
in tides of water
it goes through my being
fillling the hole
choking my soul
i can't breathe

clenched fists
i try to control this building rage
and all i want to do is scream
the Lord's voice is soft
compared to the demon's yell

I walk into the tears of rain
and feel the steam rise
it washes over me
reminds me of the tears of God

My heart is pulled
a little easier to breathe
i feel the grace wash over me
as the rains flood consumes me
i feel his voice once again
he drowns out the demons yell

Time: an mortal living span

The hands upon the clock
wind around the face
a seemingly eternal face
when it embraces a mortal living space.

And we sit around the handle
embracing it's morality
we sit upon the clock's mantlepiece
hoping for immortality

Smell the roses and the blood

Faster and faster
this world seems to spin
neverending movement

jampacked schedules
time is our master
for it becomes a disaster
if we forget time is our master

do this and that
make a mistake
you'll soon find
your whole schedule is off the brink.

yet why is it that we don't see
the HIll of calvary
where time should freeze

why do we not stop to see
the man who died
and smell the roses
to stop time
remember why we're here

Satan gives us the chains
to make time our master
cracking the whip on the slaves

hetic chaos
yet we don't care
we gladly make anything
to jump into sin
to forget why we're here

so I say
stop to smell
flowers of grace

the blood flows
to take off the chains
don't make time your master

i was just speaking from my heart and not really paying attention to what i was writing...^_^

Just needs some tweaking. If you go back and look through it, you can porbably find ways to get the rhythm without losing the jist of the poem. Other than that, their both quite well done.

Do you see me?
Do you see me, lying her in a tear soaked bed?
Do you see me?
When I'm knee deep in this hell?

Do you see me in the little things?
When i'm washing the dishes
arms soaked in the water?

Do you see me when I cry tears of frustration?
When the bill is late or hasn't happened?
When I'm about to fall
trying to make sense of it all?

Are you there Lord when I need you?
Are you there Lord when I can't see you?
Are you there to mend a broken heart
to reach out to me even in the dark?
Are you there and see my laughter?
Do you care that I want the hereafter?
or do you only see the big things I do?
Is that all that matters to you?

Do you see ever see the wonder in my eyes?
Do you see the fear in my heart?
Do you cheer me on when I win?
And when darkness comes do you

it's just I don't always see you.

when the crowds saw the dead come to life,
did they stand in awe or just in strife?
Did they honor GOd in his decision
to raise the dead of a dog
and not there kin?


And i wonder
what they thought about the bread
that fed the thousands.
did they love the Lord
for the miracle that happened?
Did they give him glory for what he is
or did they just want more bread instead?

And I wonder
did they grow bitter when he said not to fight?
did they hate the man who gave them life?
he wanted to die for them
instead of raise a revolution
Is that when the hearts began to turn away from him?

And I wonder
if they ever realized what he did
on that day on Skull Hill
Do you think they remembered him
when they yelled for cruxifiction?

and i wonder
what they thought when the blood flowed,
wth his back torn
wearing a crown of thorns.
did they regret their decision
to forsake and abandon him?

And I wonder
what it felt like.
When the Lord rose from that dark tomb.
DId they sit idly by
say "very nice. now move along."
or did they clap and sing
with their voices raised
did they merely stand in awe
or began to fall.
I wonder.

this is some of my older stuff...so it isn't that good...
I made this for my sister's boyfriend who died a few months ago...leaving behind my two year old nephew and my sister...he was 21 years old...

Tears Fall like rain

in front of the house of death
I see it's shutter drawn
I smell the rain about to come
I see it begin to fall
As if somehow it too was grieving

We walk in
I see loved ones gathered
Friends, family
Some smiling with remembrance
crying with heartached
puffy eyes with tear streaked faces

Dressed in neverending black
Mimicry of many hearts that day
Trying to make sense of it all
The smell of death and decay permeates the room
It makes it seem all too real

I walk in the room to pay last respects
I see the coffin
Sitting there alone
I smell the flowers adorned on both sides
Their sweet aroma an incense for the dead
I see his mother grieving the loss of her little boys
the touch of the hard casket
bring tears to my eyes
they fall like drops of rain

I hear words of comfort, of strength
"It'll be ok." Be strong." say others
Simple words
needing nothing more then simple words

I hear laughter and memories
"Do you remember when..." they laugh
All the anger that seethed drains with tears
Falling from many eyes as they come and say goodbye

It is time to say good bye
Until we meet again
I hear the sobbing of the sky and men as well
I hear the pastor's words offering hope in such tradegy

I walk to the casket one last time
I touch the hard, smooth wood
I say "see ya up there."
I smell the rain and dirt
I feel it on my face
